On Borboleta Dourada, the white butterfly becomes the golden butterfly. She can now play guitar and sing, while listening to the people in the fields. The pseudo-country track, with its Jimmy Page inspired guitar line, embodies a shamanistic energy, one that has been harnessed from the surrounding region. As the chanting lyrics are backdropped by the neatly plucked guitar strings, the album’s wings are spread far and wide, as it takes off and leaves behind the Beira narratives and fables.
